Brand Identity:  Sodaboy Beverage

Beverage Company - New York

Sodaboy is a fruit based soda that excites and brings flashbacks to the 1940s. With the dying  soda industry, soda will need to be reinvented and become more than they use to be. The solution features healthier ingredients, bold colours and illustrations.

The branding is an homage to New York City, and especially the animation studio that created the rubber hose style. The logo represents the rubber hose animation style that made what animation is today and also targets the younger generations and this is captured in the tagline: “Sip down memory lane.”

Inspirations

During my visual research, I came across the rubber hose art style and how this style can tie into my brand identity. The branding pays homage to this art style that originated in New York City, thus the illustrations used per branding were inspired by the rubber hose style.

Logotype

Picture the first ever black and white film turned to color. This is where we picked a vibrant color palette from. It turns the monochrome illustrations into a beautiful array of colors that express the true beauty of the characters and symbols.
